In full disclosure, this post was sponsored in part by the Arden Theatre, who provided Jersey Family Fun with tickets to make our review possible. However, our opinions are honest and our own based on our experience seeing The Arden Theatre Company’s A Year With Frog and Toad.
We couldn’t wait to gobble our turkey and eat our pie because we knew that our Friday would be filled with fun at the Arden Theatre Company, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With kids of all ages in our house, the stories of Frog and Toad have been heard for years and have grown to be long time pals of children and adults alike. The opportunity to see these stories come to life on stage was something new and exciting so we gathered a couple kids and off we went to see The Arden Theatre Company’s A Year With Frog and Toad.
The Arden Theatre Company’s A Year With Frog and Toad
With an awesome sneak peek of the stage, our entire group couldn’t wait go in, find our seats and see what this cast had in store, however we could never have imagined the experience that was about to unfold before our eyes. Still in its preview showings, this A Year With Frog and Toad is undoubtedly the best children’s musical cast our family has ever seen.
Children and adults were heard giggling with the actors and were kept on the edge of their seats with amazing performances, flawless music and costuming that was out of this world. With award winning actors Jeff Coon and Ben Dibble returning to the F.Otto Haas Stage as the well known characters Frog and Toad. This timeless children’s classic comes to life as the outstanding cast shares the storyline of an unlikely friendship that spans all four seasons. Or does it?
With twists and turns, laughter and fun, you get lost in the The Arden Theatre Company’s A Year With Frog and Toad performance itself. It is easy to see why this play has become a favorite of the Arden Children’s Theatre Company as it is nothing short of spectacular. Through out the seasons, jovial Frog keeps everyone on their toes and brings the best out of the grumpy but amusing Toad showing just how amazing true friendship can be. The supporting roles truly are not just support but an amazing group of talented actors who made this experience one we won’t forget for years to come.
There were so many awesome pieces to this experience that make visiting the Arden Theatre an opportunity that we will look forward to in the near future including:
- Easy Access to the Arden Theatre and Public Parking
- A Beautiful Facility
- Beautiful Scenery and Sets
- Well Versed Actors who Illuminate the Stage
- Amazing Costuming
- Talented Musicians
- Opportunity to Meet and Greet the Cast and Crew
- Opportunity to Explore Your Own Love of the Arts in Classes and Camps
- Kind Employees
I truly don’t feel my words or photos could accurately describe the experience we had in visiting Philadelphia today to see the The Arden Theatre Company’s A Year With Frog and Toad, so I recommend getting tickets to see a performance soon.
