Sesame Place has a number of indoor and outdoor shows that take place in the park. The shows vary in length and dynamic. There are four shows running throughout Sesame during the Halloween season. The shows in Sesame are geared to entertain newborns to 12-year-old kids. However, we adults can secretly have a good time too (Shh…don’t go on the record for tapping your toe to the beat!).
Countdown to Halloween
- This show has the Sesame characters in a musical setting as they talk about their favorite holiday of Halloween.
The Not-Too-Spooky Howl-oween Radio Show
- The Count makes this show fun for the whole family. A take on an old-time radio show where everyone has a good time!
Elmo’s World Live – Halloween Show
- Elmo and Mr. Noodle with some friends talk about Halloween! See our video below.
The Neighborhood Street Party – Spooktacular Parade
- Sesame’s Parade done with Halloween flair!
We had the opportunity to see Elmo’s World Live while we visited Sesame. They do a great job in the show of making it fun for all ages. The older kids weren’t bored as they discussed Halloween costumes. A few lucky guests get to play ghost with Elmo! Telly helps out with costumes as Mr. Noodle does what he does best…
We caught the very beginning of the parade as our twins began to fade from too-much-fun exhaustion. We always loved the Sesame Parades and this one was just as fun! They really added a lot of Halloween elements to the parade. However, with two nearly napping twins we were already on our way out.
There are also some impromptu shows that pop up near the far left of the park (near the Rubber Ducky Ride). The kiddie wading pool becomes a dance party show with the characters as they jam to upbeat music. There is a lot of dancing and great photo opportunities. This is also the area where trick or treat stations begin. It’s a great way to have an opportunity to be interactive with the pals on Sesame Street!
In full disclosure, Jersey Family Fun has been provided with tickets to attend Sesame Place to make our stories possible. At times, Sesame Place staff has arranged for members of the media to have snacks with characters. Our opinions are our own and honest, based on our writer’s experiences dining at Sesame Place.
