Our Family Attractions in Pennsylvania latest stop was in Peddler’s Village. What a beautiful, relaxing time, we had. Peddler’s Village offers so much in one place, you can’t help but enjoy yourself. We stayed overnight at the Golden Plough Inn. During our weekend we shopped the stores, had dinner at the Cock ‘n Bull, enjoyed a movie out on the lawn, breakfast at the Buttonwood Grill, played at Giggleberry Fair, had a lunch at The Painted Pony Cafe, and more. Details about all of that to come.

Golden Plough Inn has 70 guest rooms located throughout Peddler’s Village.

  • Main Inn
  • Mill View
  • Wagon House
  • Carriage House
  • Merchant’s Row
  • Village Square
  • Garden Gazebo
  • Carriage House

When you check in, you’ll go to the Main Inn located next door to the Buttonwood Grill. There is a small lot where you can park your car as you check in. The staff was great as we checked in. Along with a room key and a map of Peddler’s Village, we were given a voucher for a free bottle of wine from Chadsford Winery and a booklet of coupons to the Peddler’s Village shops.  It’s a perk all guests get.  Our front desk clear then sent us on our way making sure we knew our way before sending us off to find our room and explore the area.

Each of the Golden Plough Inn buildings has parking conveniently located to it and each guest has their own parking spot assigned to them based on their room number. While the inns are located throughout Peddler’s Village, safety has been taken into consideration. You can not access any of the additional buildings without a room key.

We approached our room and were taken in with the decor of the inn hallways. The long hallways hinted that the Golden Plough Inn could house many guests, but the beauty and details of the decor created an intimate environment for our stay.  We opened the door and were in awe. The words beautiful, elegant, and spacious came to mind. Everywhere I turned I found places for us to sit and relax, a chair here, a couch there. In another area a table with chairs. With 3 boys they had prepared a Murphy bed and a rollaway mattress….but …. there was still so much room to spread out. We could unwind from the drive without being ontop of each other. (The drive is anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on where you are coming from in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania area.)

With a little rest and a little snack (the Golden Plough Inn leaves a basket of snacks and bottled water in the room for guests) we were ready to make a video tour of our Jamison Suite at the Golden Plough Inn. (see below)

The Bathroom

Steps away from shops, year-round events, a fantastic family attraction in Giggleberry Fair, 7 restaurants to choose from for your meals, and a comfortable spacious room to stay in when you are done enjoying it all, oh yes, a minivacation in Peddler’s Village makes a great family trip.

In full disclosure, this is a sponsored post from Peddler’s Village. We were provided with a room , meals, and admission to Giggleberry Fair at no charge.  These things were arranged so that we could review Peddler’s Village as a family vacation destination.  However, our opinions are honest and based on our experiences in Peddler’s Village.
