Ever notice how some stores just pull you in and you can’t leave? Window shopping is just not enough. Hallmark is this store for me. Their window displays catch my attention. Then, I get a glimpse of the Christmas ornaments and I’m drawn in further. Before you know it, I’m looking at the cards and coming up with reasons to buy everyone I know something from Hallmark.
It’s why when Hallmark asked to work with us I just had to say yes. I’m so glad I did because I have two new exciting products to share with you, just in time for Mother’s Day. They are the Recordable Canvas Art Kit and the Conversations to Keep Recordable Interviews books. Two wonderfully unique gifts that will truly make Mother’s Day memorable.
I love this because it captures two things moms and grandmas love best our children’s voice and their artwork. Our video below demonstrates how it works but the idea is this. You slide the canvas out of the frame for your child to create the artwork they desire. It includes one brush and plenty of paint. When it’s dry you slide it back in. Your child can record a personalized greeting either before or making the artwork. (You can record up to 40 seconds.) When you present it as a gift grandma, mom, or the special someone has not only the picture, but they can press the button to hear the personalized message. We’d reveal what my kids created but then their grandmothers would see.
The recordable books are another special keepsake. The two available titles are Mom & Me and Grandma & Me. These books are special because they capture your child’s voice and their personality as they reveal makes mom and grandma special.
Each of the 8 pages asks a question that your child can record their response too.
- Each page records separately so there is no pressure to record it all in one session. Kids have short attention spans so record a different page each day if you need to.
- A mistake doesn’t affect the whole book. Just re-record until you get it right. I found that my own boys needed time to come up with their responses. So we did each page a few times before being satisfied.
- The recording time is long enough that siblings can each leave their own response.
The retail price for the Recordable Canvas Art Kit is $14.95. The Conversations to Keep Recordable Interviews are available for $24.95 each. Both are available in stores only. To find your local Hallmark store visit here.
