My Favorite Valentine Memory

Can you believe it another Valentine’s Day is almost upon us?  Before kids, Valentine’s Day meant roses, chocolates, and a nice dinner out. Can you remember those days? After kids that all tends to change….but all for the better. With 3 little boys and a loving husband, there is even more love to surround me and make the day special.

As we get ready for this year, I’d love to share with you our Valentine’s Day memories from last year…. I think my favorite Valentine’s Day yet.

The day started with me sneaking down to the kitchen to prepare a special breakfast in bed for my boys.

  • Cookie sheets were covered with aluminum foil to resemble serving trays. Then, they were decorated with hearts and words of love.
  • A breakfast of waffles,  powered donuts, and heart-shaped, red cookies were served on heart-shaped dishes. [Yes, I do allow extra-sugary treats once in a while ;)]

It was quite cute waking them up. It took them a while to realize what was going on. Once they did they ate it up (the breakfast and the moment.) From there we headed up to the Ritz Theater in Voorhees. They were featuring a one-time showing of Super Why. All of our boys loved it and by the end of the show they were all singing the ABCs with Super Why, Princess P, and the other characters.

After the movie, we stopped by Applebees. We enjoyed a great meal and some yummy desserts. It may not be the same dinner and a movie I once enjoyed on date nights with my hubby, but it is priceless still the same.
