About Lake Horicon
Lake Horicon has been a family favorite for over ten years. No summer is complete without a few trips to this nice quiet lake. Nestled in the corner of Lakehurst, New Jersey, this 63 acre lake is a great place to come for an afternoon swim, to build sandcastles, to go for a jog on a nature trail and even to spend the afternoon having a picnic.
What Lake Horicon offers
- It is a 63 acre stream fed lake, while unsure of dimensions I can tell you that the deepest spot marked for swimming is at least 5 feet.
- There are no diving boards.
- There is one lifeguard on duty daily during the summer months until September from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Lake Horicon is open daily for swimming in the summer months when the lifeguard is on duty 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Lake admission is free of charge for residents and non residents of Ocean County.
Lake Horicon is located at the corner of Union Ave and Lake Street in Lakehurst in Ocean County.

I reside in Jackson and having been bringing my greatgrandkids here for 2 years and have found it to be very family friendly. Kids enjoy the water as well as the park.
