The wonderful thing about Long Branch, New Jersey is its convenient location in relation to all the fun things there are for kids to do in Monmouth County.

Sunny Day Activities in Long Branch, NJ

On warmer, sunnier days, take a walk along the Long Branch boardwalk, enjoy the beach, or play a while at Seven Presidents Park (click over to read about Seven Presidents Park and see our most recent pictures here). On our first visit to Long Branch with kids, we also took a drive over to Shark River Park, where we explored hiking trails and playgrounds for hours. We easily could’ve spent all day there. Parking fees are only in effect from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so your off season trip to Sandy Hook is free! During the off-season the Sandy Hook Nature Center may not be open. Check the Sandy Hook calendar of events to be sure and make the most of your visit! Kids can learn about seals, horseshoe crabs, trees, and more. While visiting, kids can also earn a Junior Ranger badge.

A visit to the Silver Ball Museum was on our New Jersey bucket list of things to do with the kids, for the longest time. We were all so excited to make a visit to this New Jersey pinball museum as part of our trip. The Silver Ball Museum is just minutes away in nearby Asbury Park.
