Did you know Diggerland is offering NEW Halloween fun this year?

In addition to their weekend Diggerfest, Diggerland is now offering spooky, after dark, Halloween fun, with Diggerland Night of the Living Machines. We stopped by for a visit last Friday night and found there was so much to enjoy that we could barely fit it all into one night. Take a look and make plans to attend before it passes you by this year.

The Night of the Living MACHINES Hayride

As part of this unique Halloween event at the country’s ONLY construction-themed adventure park, your family can take a hair-raising hayride into the unknown.

Here’s what my 11-year-old son had to say about the Night of the Living Machines Hayride

Diggerland is super fun! My favorite ride is the Spindizzy. Also the hayride was really fun! On the hayride different trucks come out from the dark and shake or crunch things. Also this zombielike blacksmith comes out says “Get off of my lawn.” Then if you look back at this time you would see a person in a camouflage costume casing you. Later on the hayride a crane comes out and almost hits the back of the cart. The hayride is very scary but very awesome at the same time.

As a mom, I thought the Night of the Living Machines hayride was just the right amount of scare for kids. It’s not gory at all. Instead, it creates fear through suspense, loud machine noises, and the occasional spooky creature that approaches the hayride. Take a look at our video and see what you think. While it does appear dark on video, please note that we could clearly see everything. The forest is dark enough to be spooky but not so dark that you won’t be able to see each other.
