Have you ever had an amazing waitress? I mean the kind of waitress who goes above and beyond being polite to your children?
When we visited the Cheeseburgers in Paradise in Secaucus for dinner during our Weekends in Jersey series we did. Jessica P., our waitress was so phenomenal I just had to start our review singing (typing) her praises. We’ve gone to many restaurants where the waitstaff if just polite enough to the kids for them to earn a good tip. And unlike other restaurants that usually know we are coming, it was not until the end of the meal that Jessica found out our meal was being taken care of and we were guests of management. So the amazing service we got, is probably the amazing service every family gets from her at Cheeseburgers in Paradise. Jessica took an interest in my boys:
- She remembered the details of what they wanted.
- She was quick with their food.
- She answered their endless questions.
- When they showed off their pictures, she complimented them on their work.
- She checked in with us often to see how everything was and if we needed anything else.
- She even escorted us to the bathroom, so we’d have no trouble finding our way.
Jessica made what could have been a challenging meal, dinner out with 3 boys, a teenager, and no husband and turned it into something pleasant. She made us see that Cheeseburgers in Paradise isn’t just welcoming to adults, but it is also very welcoming to families.
Let’s talk about the Cheeseburgers in Paradise Kid’s Menu. First, it’s an activity booklet with mazes, pages to color, word searches. It was just the thing to keep my 4-year-old, 6-year-old, and 7-year-old busy while they waited for their meals.
Cheeseburgers in Paradise’s Children’s Menu provides 8 options for kids.
All come with soda, milk or fresh parakeet Punch and a choice of the following sides: French Fried Potatoes, Teriyaki Broccoli or Mandarin Oranges. Prices begin at $4.99
- Mini-Cheeseburgers – or hamburgers if your child doesn’t like cheese
- Cheese Quesadilla
- Chicken Quesadilla
- Chicken Fingers
- Mac ‘N Cheese
- BBQ Ribs
- Flame Grilled Steak
- Grilled Chicken Breast
- For dessert for $1.99 extraLil’ Pirates Treat
- Choice of vanilla, strawberry or chocolate Blue Bell® ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, sprinkles and Oreo® cookie crumbles.
My boys ordered Mac & Cheese, Chicken Fingers, and Mini-Hamburgers. Maybe it was the hunting for dinosaurs earlier in the day or the good food, but they finished their plates. My niece ordered a Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger and I had Coconut Shrimp. We finished up dinner with dessert, of course. The boys had the kid’s menu Lil’ Pirates dessert of ice cream sundaes. Available with vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry ice cream, each boy went with a different flavor. I had the Jamaican Apple Crisp. Yum, yum.
Phenomenal service, great food, incredible value (we fed a family of 5 for less than $55), welcoming atmosphere… we can’t say enough good things about Cheeseburgers in Paradise. So while you may have thought of it only as a great date night place. Think again, it’s time to bring the kids to Cheeseburgers in Paradise.
