First Annual 3K Spooky Stroll @ City Place
Oct 25 @ 9:00 am

City Place in Edgewater will host the first annual 3K Spooky Stroll sponsored by the Edgewater Education Association (EEA) and the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) to benefit the Edgewater Food Pantry. Local families are invited to stroll in their Halloween best. Please bring non-perishable items and other appropriate donations to contribute. Registration begins under the big white tent at 9:00 a.m. and is $2 for adults and $1 for children.

Following the stroll there will be live a D.J. set featuring spooky tunes to get everyone in the Halloween spirit and trick-or-treating with the City Place retailers. Everyone that participates is eligible to win fun seasonal prizes for helping us stock Edgewater’s Food Pantry for the winter season!

Rag-a-muffin Parade in Hillsdale @ George White School

Arrive at Borough Hall parking lot to line up at 9 am. Parade will march from Borough Hall to George White School. Bring your camera for a fun photo spot, pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, balloon artist and treats will be featured at this event. In case of rain the entire event will take place at George White School.

Rag-A-Muffin Parade in River Vale @ Roberge School

Line up for the parade in font of 7-11 on the corner of Westwood Ave and River Vale Road.  Parade begins at 9:10 am sharp! Children are invited to parade in costume to Roberge School Gym where there will be a performance by River Vale Raiders Senior Cheer Team and a magic show starring Stretch The Silly Man. Refreshments to be served. In case of rain the parade will be cancelled but the magic show will go on.

Pumpkin Hunt-Paramus

The event will be held on Saturday October 25 and will start at 10:00am for pre-schoolers, 10:30am for kindergartners and 11:00am for 1st grade and up. Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume! Plaques in each level will be awarded for: Most Creative Use of Materials, Most Original Concept, Funniest, Scariest, Most Exquisite, Best Representation of an Athlete, Best Representation of an Animal/Cartoon/Character/Icon, Most Patriotic, Best Group and Best Costumed Animal. Washington Twp Fall Festival @ Various
Oct 25 @ 10:00 am – 3:30 pm

Mayor Janet Sobkowicz has announced that the Township is sponsoring a Fall Festival for residents onSaturday, October 25, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Field on Pascack Road, rain or shine.Admission is free. Parking is available at the Bergen County YJCC across the street just north of Memorial Field. The Township Councilmen will be grilling the hot dogs and hamburgers and serving cold beverages for a dollar each.
A new, special attraction this year is the Dinosaur Museum, which allows an up-close, hands-on experience with real dinosaur fossils. Also new this year is the Westwood Community Band performing a variety of concert and jazz music.
There will be a variety of bouncy rides, fun slides, and a trackless train for the children for an all-day fee of $5. There will be a variety of games and activities including the usual favorites of ring and beanbag toss, ping pong ball/fish bowl toss, sand art, face painting, and balloon art. The Boy Scouts will be firing their water-powered rockets.
The Township Fire Department, Police Department, and Ambulance Corps will be offering lifesaving demonstrations and public health information. The Golden Seniors, Contemporary Woman’s Club, Knights of Columbus, and other organizations will be participating. Come join your neighbors for a great day of fun in the fall air. Additional family activities scheduled for the day include the Fire Department sponsored Ragamuffin Parade, which starts at 10 a.m. on Finnerty Place and Pascack Road and ends at the Library. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Following the parade, the festivities continue at the Library, which is transformed into a virtual Haunted House. The eerie décor, special effects, and scary actors will delight the children and adults. The activity is scheduled to end at 12:30 p.m., in time for the folks to continue the fun-filled day at the Fall Festival at Memorial Field.
