Bonefish Grill – A Delicious Family Dining Experience

This post was made possible by Bonefish Grill who provided dinner for my family to enjoy. We appreciate their support of Jersey Family Fun that allows us to share with families New Jersey restaurants we think your family may enjoy.

While we have driven by Bonefish Grill numerous times, we have never paid a visit to this family restaurant as a family. When we were given the chance to visit and try the new Bonefish Grill Spring Menu offerings, we were so excited to check it out!

Let’s Eat!

Bonefish Grill is a casual dining experience but the restaurant definitely feels more upscale than your usual New Jersey family restaurant. The tables and booths are spacious, the tables have candles and tablecloths, and the décor is tasteful. We loved eating in a restaurant that felt fancier than normal but we still appreciated the family-friendly touches: crayons and coloring activities for the kids, white butcher paper covering the tablecloth for doodling, and great prices (and choices!) on the Bonefish Grill children’s menu.

Soon after we ordered (and service was very prompt and friendly), fresh bread arrived at the table with a pesto dipping oil. It was the perfect thing to tide over our hunger until our food arrived. For appetizers, we sampled the Calamari, which is flash-fried with peppers and served with a sweet spicy Asian sauce, and the Thai Coconut Shrimp. The portions were large and the food tasted fresh and delicious. My son is a Calamari fan and he went crazy over the crispy breading and declared it “the best EVER!”

Who’s ready for coconut shrimp and calamari??

For dinner, I ordered Kate’s Wild North Atlantic Haddock from the special Bonefish Grill spring menu. The grilled fish was topped with feta cheese and artichokes in a lemon basil butter sauce, and served with garlic mashed potatoes and string beans. It tasted delicious and fresh and I would definitely order it again. A sucker for Fish and Chips, my husband couldn’t resist Bonefish Grill’s take on the classic and was not disappointed. My kids loved the children’s menu options, including fish strips, popcorn shrimp, grilled chicken, and mac ‘n cheese. The two youngest kids chose chicken tenders and the oldest ordered mac ‘n cheese. They all finished their food (a rarity!) before I knew it.

Even though we were stuffed from our meal (honestly, the portions are HUGE!), we couldn’t resist dessert. My children spotted doughnuts on the menu so we ordered a portion to share. Three hot doughnuts, tossed in cinnamon sugar and served with chocolate or caramel sauce, arrived at the table and we dove in. They were amazing and the perfect end to a great Bonefish Grill meal.

We had an awesome family dinner at Bonefish Grill and we would definitely visit again. We loved the classy atmosphere mixed with the family-friendly attitude. Plus who can beat that food?

In full disclosure, Bonefish Grill provided a meal for my family to enjoy to make this story possible. My opinions are honest and based on my experiences.
