Often in our “Family Fun Spots of the Day” we show a “Barnes & Noble Story Time”. I had never personally checked it out, so, my children and I decided to check a few out these past few weeks. We had a great time there. (Check out our Family Fun Spots of the Day everyday, our Calendar of Events, or check the Barnes & Noble website for the location nearest you and story time days and times.) [Barnes & Noble Story times don't require advance registration. That's great for parents who are sometimes planning their activities one day at a time or find themselves with a day suddenly open and in need of an activity. - Jenn]

Reading to your child is very important! During the ages of 2-5 is the most crucial time period for learning, it’s great to develop an early love of reading!
After the Barnes & Noble Story Time children can enjoy a great option of children’s books. Barnes & Noble also has a rewards program called Kid’s Club. It includes 30% off of the list price of a children’s book when you enroll (some exclusions apply), $5 for every $100 you spend on kids stuff online or in store, and a free cupcake at the cafe on your child’s birthday. Most locations also include a Thomas the Train section where they have a train table with trains to play with.
