New Jersey is definitely the place to be in the summer! Check out our list of 31 awesome activities for New Jersey kids going on in our great state during the month of July. Maybe you can visit them all!

 

July 1st  Adventure Aquarium – (Camden County) This is the last day to check out the Little Blue Penguins exhibit before it’s gone! You will not want to miss it!

 

July 2ndDiggerland USA (Camden County) Explore America’s only construction theme park! July 2nd-July 4th, buy your tickets online with a special promo for $5 off! Check the website for details!

 

July 3rd – Atlantic City Cruises (Atlantic County)  Dolphin watching cruise at 11 am. Reservations are suggested but not required.

July 4th – Little Falls 4th of July Street Fair (Passaic County)  Main Street and Stevens Ave 10 am-5 pm Crafts, food, rides, pony rides, vendors

 

July 5th – State Fair Meadowlands East Rutherford NJ (Bergen County) Fair hours 6 pm-12 am tickets available at the box office for general admission and rides, free entertainment includes petting zoo, live concerts, pig races, hypnotist

 

July 6th –  Summer Arts Festival at Echo Lake Park Mountainside (Union County) Bring your blankets or beach chairs for Tusk, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, starting at 7:30 pm

 

July 7th – IPlay America presents Jessie Chris (Monmouth County) 7:00 pm. This up and coming country star will play in IPlay America’s City Square. Admission to the concert in included in general admission price for the venue.

 

July 8th – Atlantic Highlands Fireworks/Firemen’s festival (Monmouth County) 6 pm-9 pm Simon Lake Drive, games, rides, food court, fireworks

 

July 9th – Tuckerton Seaport Baconfest (Ocean County) 11 am-8 pm $8 admission. If you love bacon, this is the place for you! Food trucks featuring all things bacon, a bacon eating contest, and of course, pig races!

 

July 10th – Grounds For Sculpture (Mercer County) Open 10 am -6 pm. Come and tour the beautiful gardens and artwork throughout. Timed tickets are required, so make sure to check the website in advance. Closed Mondays.

 

July 11th – Princeton Summer Theater (Mercer County) The annual Children’s Show The Owl and The Pussycat is an adaptation of an Edward Lear poem. Tickets are $12. Check the website for additional dates and showtimes.

 

July 12thSahara Sam’s Indoor/Outdoor Waterpark (Camden County) Check out the new addition the the park, Mirage! New rides, new slides, more FUN!

 

July 13th –  Groovin’ and Grubbin outdoor concert at the Garden State Discovery Museum (Camden County) Food trucks from 5 pm-8 pm, live music starting at 7, and general admission to the museum is only $5 after 5 pm

 

July 14th –  Mega Model Trains at Morris Museum (Morris County) This special exhibit which spans more than 280 square feet, and brags 3 separate tracks has returned to the museum, and is included in general admission. On the second and third Thursdays of the month, admission is “pay what you wish” from 4 pm-8 pm

 

July 15th  Johnson’s Farm – (Burlington County)  5 pm-9 pm Friday night BBQ and Car show. Patio dining, DJ, free hayrides, half price admission to the Discovery Barnyard.

July 16th – Celebrate Storybook Land’s 61st Birthday (Atlantic County) Enjoy the rides and the splash pad, along with some special character meet and greet opportunities, and a parade to celebrate 62 years at the park.

July 17th – Visit the Turtleback Zoo (Essex County) 10 am-4:30 pm Come and check out the #1 zoo in New Jersey!

 

July 18th  Bowl for free at Wood Lanes in Pilesgrove (Salem County) Register online for the summer bowling program and your kids will be able to bowl for free through September 1st!

 

July 19th – St. Ambrose Carnival (Middlesex County) 6 pm-11 pm July 19-23 Rides, food, live music, nightly entertainment, 50/50

 

July 20th – Casino Pier 4th Annual Hotdog Eating Contest (Ocean County) 10 am until 2 pm at Casino Pier in Seaside Heights. There will be one round for kids and one for adults. Join in the fun or just come to watch the madness!

 

July 21st – Anglesea Night Market (Cape May County) 4 pm-9 pm Food trucks, high end vendors and crafters, live music, all along Olde New Jersey Ave in North Wildwood

 

July 22nd – Rollerskate for free at Deptford Skating and Fun Center. (Gloucester County) Follow the link to register for the free skating program and this and many other skating rinks throughout NJ!

 

July 23rd – KidzBop (Atlantic County)  at the Atlantic City Convention Center is sure to be a hit! Show starts at 1:00 pm, get your tickets in advance!

 

July 24th –  Summer Food Truck and Wine Festival at Alba Vineyard (Hunterdon County) Live music, food trucks and more!

 

July 25th – Head to your local Michaels store for Camp Creativity between 10 am and noon. This week will be “All about me” themed. Register online to save your spot!

 

July 26th – Discovery Den (Mercer County) 9 am-4 pm Check out this play area for exploring natural history, designed for infants through age 8, inside the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton

 

July 27th – Monmouth County Fair (Monmouth County) 5 pm-11 pm Food trucks, vendors, crafters, rides, face painting and much more!

 

July 28th – Jersey Shore Alpacas (Cape May County) open from 10 am -4 pm. Meet the beautiful alpacas at this non-profit rescue and maybe even share a carrot or two! Check the website for additional dates and hours.

 

July 29th – Gillian’s Wonderland Pier Wristband Day (Cape May County) $25 wristbands allow riders to enjoy all the rides from 1pm-4pm. This special runs every Wednesday and Friday in July.

July 30th –  Tropicana Multimedia Light and Sound show and Fireworks (Atlantic County) Shows begin at 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30 and 11:00 pm nightly in July. Fireworks follow the 10:00 pm show on Saturday nights only.

 

July 31st – Peach festival at Alstede Farms (Morris County) Enjoy scrumptious peach treats of every variety. Also, pick your own peaches and enjoy farm fun all day!
