Well, summer has slipped away, and September is upon us! Don’t let that discourage you! We still have a great list of 30 Super September Activities for New Jersey Kids, things to do with your family EVERY DAY this month! Check out our list below and get ready to have some fun!

September 1 Take a pontoon boat nature tour on Mercer Lake (Mercer County). Two tours are available per day, noon – 1:30 pm or 2 pm – 3:30 pm. For more information, check out their website at http://nj.gov/counties/mercer/news/releases/approved/130613.html

September 3 – West Cape May Tomato Festival in Wilbraham Park (Cape May County). The festival runs from 9 am -5 pm. For more information check out our New Jersey Events Calendar here.

 

September 4 –  African Penguin Awareness weekend at Adventure Aquarium (Camden County). Penguin themed activities will be going on all weekend at the aquarium to celebrate these magnificent creatures! September 5 – Spend Labor Day at Sahara Sams Indoor and Outdoor Waterpark! (Camden County) Buy your tickets online with promo code LABORDAY16 and get a great deal!

 

September 6 – Visit the Cape May County Park and Zoo (Cape May County), open from 10 am – 4:30 pm. While you’re there make sure you try out the Tree to Tree Adventure Park! September 7 – Ventnor free summer concert on the beach at Newport Ave (Atlantic County) from 7 pm – 10 pm. This is the last concert for the summer, so don’t miss out! Check out more details on our New Jersey Events Calendar here.

 

September 8 – Kick off the St. Demetrios Greek Festival (Union County). Festival runs through September 11th, with admission for $1. For more information follow the link to our New Jersey Events Calendar!

September 13 – “Do It” at the Montclair Art Museum (Essex County) This exhibit is like none other; visitors will be encouraged to interact, and at times, even add to pieces on display. September 14 – Take an apple picking hayride at Johnson’s Farm! (Burlington County) Prices and times are listed on the website at http://johnsonsfarm.com.

September 16 – Fall carnival (Monmouth County) St. Benedict Catholic Church. Rides, games, vendors, food. September 16-18 for times and prices check http://www.stbenedictholmdel.org

 

September 17 – 8th Annual Que by the Sea Barbecue festival and competition (Ocean County) Sept 16-18 in Seaside Heights. For hours and directions check the details on our New Jersey Calendar of Events.

 

September 18 – 2016 Autumn with the Animals will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. here at Cedar Run. Autumn with the Animals remains a much-anticipated fall family tradition here in Southern New Jersey. Children and adults of all ages enjoy wildlife programs, live music, nature hikes, child friendly games, crafts, food and fun! We look upon this day as a way for our members and friends to reconnect with each other and the environment. September 20 – Check out New Jersey’s First Zoo! The Cohanzick Zoo is open from 9 am – 4 pm (Cumberland County) Animal encounters are available at 1 pm, 2 pm and 3pm! For more information, read our review of the Cohanzick Zoo.

 

September 21 – Visit the Garden State Discovery Museum, (Camden County) where kids are invited to explore all the exhibits in a hands-on fashion. September 23 – Italian American Festival (Mercer County) September 23-25 Rain or shine, food, bocce, dancing, music, rides. for more information check the website at http://www.italianamericanfestival.com.

 

September 24 – Diggerland Touch a Truck event (Burlington County) 9 am – 1pm. Not only can you ride the construction themed rides at the park, you will also have a chance to check out real firetrucks, ambulances, and more! This event benefits the Sambulance special needs program.

September 25 – Milburn Street Fair and Craft Show (Essex County) Over 200 crafters, vendors and artists, FREE admission and parking. For more details check our New Jersey Calendar of Events.

 

September 26 – Von Thuns Country Farm Market corn maze! (Middlesex County) It’s never too early to early for a corn maze! Open 1 pm- 5pm $8 per person. For more information check the farm website at http://vonthunfarms.com/fall-family-fun/corn-maze.

 

September 27 – Check out Grandparent Tuesdays at IPlay America! (Monmouth County) Every Tuesday from 4pm – midnight,  grandparents and grandkids can enjoy the delicious unlimited pizza, pasta and salad in iPlay America’s Game Time Bar and Grill all for just $10 per grandparent and $5 per grandchild. The only thing grandkids will find more grand is spending time with their grandparents in the park, riding the rides, playing the games, and spending time together.

September 29 – Pick a pumpkin at Donaldson Farms! (Warren County) During the week, you can take a wheelbarrow out to the field and bring back your own pumpkins! If you prefer to take a hayride, visit the farm over the weekend. Halloween is just around the corner! September 30 – Jersey Family Fun’s 6th Birthday Party at Sahl’s Father Son Farm in Galloway. (Atlantic County) 3:30 pm – 10 pm. More details coming soon!
